Chilli Soya Chunks

Chilli Soya Chunks Recipe is one of the best healthy vegetarian recipes. It is a wonderful substitute for Chilli Chicken. This is an Indo-Chinese recipe made of soya bean chunks or nuggets. Being a vegetarian often we do not have too many protein sources, but soya is one rich protein source. This Chilli Soya Chunks Recipe is also low in fat. By making this recipe you will forget the myth that healthy food is not tasty as it is cooked with chilli and sauces.
This recipe can be served with fried rice or simply with Indian Parathas. So today we will learn how to make Chilli Soya Chunks in quick and easy steps.

Servings: 3 - 4
Preparation Time: 25 – 30 min

Ingredients:

Soya chunks - 120 gm
Water - 1 litre
Milk - 100 ml
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Cornstarch - 3 tbsp
Red chilli - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Green chilli – 2
Onions - 60 gm
Bell pepper - 150 gm
Sugar - 1 tsp
Vinegar - 2 tsp
Oil - 45 ml
Oil - 1 tbsp
Red chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
Ketchup - 2 tbsp
Green chilli sauce - 1 tbsp
Soy sauce - 1 tsp

PREPARATION:

In a pan take 100 ml milk and 1-litre water and boil it.
Now add 120 gm soya chunks and switch off the flame. Put separately in a bowl for 15 – 20 min.
After it mix soya chunks with 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp red chilli, 1/2 tsp salt, 3 tbsp corn starch in a bowl.
In a heavy skillet take 45 ml oil, add in soya and toss well and cook until it turns golden. Take it to a bowl.
In an another heavy skillet heat 1 tbsp oil and add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, stir-fry for a minute.
Now add 60 gm onions, 150 gm bell pepper and stir again. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tsp vinegar, 1 tbsp red chilli sauce, 2 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp green chilli sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce, 2 green chilli and mix well.
Add in fried soya and toss well. Cook for 2 - 3 min.
Chilli Soya Chunks is ready.
Serve hot.
