Paneer is the famous ingredient to make a recipe with. Everyone is handy with Paneer Recipes, at least one paneer recipe we know how to cook. You would have known Dry Chilli Paneer, Gravy Paneer and Shahi Paneer. But let’s try something new with paneer by adding some twist in it.
So we will make today “Paneer Khatta Pyaz”. Paneer Khatta Pyaz is easy to make at home with easily available ingredients quickly.

Ingredients:
Paneer - 9-10 Pieces (200 gram)
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
Chopped Onion - 1 tablespoon
Chopped Tomato - 2 tablespoon
Coriander-Cumin Powder – ½ teaspoon
Garam Masala Powder – ½ teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder – ½ teaspoon
Green Coriander Powder – ½ teaspoon
Turmeric – ¼ teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Spiced Tomato Onion Puree – 4 tablespoon
Onion – 4 pieces
Vinegar – ½ bowl
PREPARATION:
Take 2 tablespoon vinegar, mix it with some water and keep separately.
Cut 4 onions into 9-10 pieces and dip into remaining vinegar. Keep the solution separate for some time.
Now start with some mazedar tadka.
Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon chopped onion and 2 tablespoon chopped tomatoes.
Now add ½ teaspoon coriander cumin powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp green coriander powder, ¼ tsp turmeric and salt.
Mix well until it turns brown.
Add 4 tablespoon spiced tomato-onion puree (make tomato and onion puree and add some chilli powder in it).
Mix this paste and add paneer pieces in it.
Now add vinegar dipped onion and 3 tablespoons vinegar-water solution in it (Vinegar-water solution is to increase sourness “khattapan”).
Be careful about the vinegar-water solution as it can make it sourer.
Now garnish it with green coriander leaves.
Your Paneer Khatta Pyaz is now ready to serve hot.
